Top Arch Whitening First

We recommend whitening the top arch first and you can than whiten the lower arch at a convenient time to you.  Reasons for this are:

One kit will usually last 2 weeks for both arches or 1 kit will treat 1 arch for about 4 weeks.

Reduces mechanical tooth sensitivity

bullet

Eliminate joint problems.

bullet

Reduces sensitivity potential.

bullet

Improves compliance

bullet

Whitening effect is entirely dependent on peroxide concentration x time in contact with teeth

The treatment times are usually between 2 to 6 weeks.  More discoloration requires more time.

bullet

Nicotine stain may require 1 to 3 months

bullet

Tetracycline discoloration may take 2 months or longer.

Results need to be monitored by staff.  A typical monthly recall fee might be $45.00 which includes exam, supplies and monitoring.  Quick bleaching lasts a shorter time and you will have to wear the trays to keep the quick bleach stable and to continue to have good results
