Good Home Care Prolongs The Life Of Your Bite Splint

Home Care for Bite Splints

  1. Rinse the splint before wearing .

  2. Rinse the splint after removing if from your mouth.

  3. Brush it gently with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste, denture cleaner, or liquid soap once a day.

  4. Soak your splint in denture cleaner once a week to keep it fresh and clean.

  5. Check your splint for signs of wear.

  6. An oral splint should be used only for a short time and should not cause permanent changes in the bite. If a splint causes or increases pain, stop using it and see us.

  7. See us every six months to monitor your dental condition.
