CONTINUING EDUCATION 2005

We exceed the American Dental Association requirements for continuing education for our staff.

All of our dental assistants continue to take additional training so that they can perform more complex functions. They are referred to as  "expanded duty dental assistants".   We also have monthly training sessions for our staff to learn new dental techniques and procedures and they frequently attend the following continuing education programs.

December 2005

Reviewed New CPR Guidelines

Had an in office meeting on the follow-up of the OSHA workshop.  Changes and improvements were discussed.  HIPPA security issues were presented and changes were made.  Physical improvements to treatment rooms were suggested and planned.  Improving patient education and placing it on computer was covered.  Overall, a great meeting..very productive!

November 2005

All staff members attended OSHA workshop at Hampton Inn sponsored by Creighton University by Dr. Howard.  They also viewed the new OSHA movie .."What If Salvia Was Red".

Dr. Peterson attended an Invisalign Express and Invisalign Improved Care training in Denver.

Due to finishing of office basement to meet OSHA and HIPPA requirements the staff members have been busy adjusting to the demands of this change.

All of our staff is  attended the Rocky Mountain Dental Conference in Denver.  They attended three days of workshops on teamwork, treatment planning, esthetic dentistry, and much more.
