We are collecting clothes for the missions trip to Mexico.

We participated in the Job Fair at our local community college.  We had a booth set up to help educate our community on jobs available in the dental area.  We handed out brochures on how to become a dentist, hygienist, dental assistant and dental lab technician. A video on career opportunities in the dental profession  was provided by the N.D.A. and viewed by many of the participants. (We forgot our camera)

We celebrated National Nutrition Month by placing articles about good nutrition in our local paper and radio station.  A new nutrition index guide was added to our website to help viewers access nutrition articles.

Christi, Jacque, Angelique and Dr. Peterson did volunteer work with the Gering Head Start Program.  They did oral exams and applied fluoride varnish to their teeth.  Angelique was the "human chair" because there were no chairs to hold the children, while Christi and Jacque applied the fluoride varnish. Our team provided care bags to each of these needy children.

Interactive dental education with 2/3 graders.                          Dr Peterson reading about their visit to a dentist.

Dr. Peterson and Angelique gave a presentation to the 2/3 graders at Community Christian School about good dental health.  Dr. Peterson showed a video, gave a demonstration on tooth brushing and flossing and read them a story about a visit to the dentist while they colored a picture he provided.  The students all received care bags with a toothbrush, toothpaste, stickers, calendar, color book and lots of other "goodies".

Donated toothbrushes and stickers to Gering elementary school for the 1st and 2nd grade.
